I have a 3sge, is there a place on the fuel rail to tap into? Or do you know if theres a place on the 5sfe? Toyota with their stupid design with the regulator right on the rail kinda sucks.
I guess I could get a regulator too and just put the sender on the regulator. I already have -6an lines coming from the fuel cell to the filter, but use the stock line from the filter to the line because I didnt have enough time to deal with the thread size and banjo bolt. I've had some problems in the past that I wish I just installed a gauge and I would have been able to diagnose a lot quicker. Had sloshing in the fuel cell and was losing fuel pressure going around turns in a race a year ago, bought an internal surge tank and that did the trick. My last race the engine has been cutting out when it gets hot in the high rpms and the hotter it gets the worse it cuts out. (Most likely ignition issue, I just bought a new 3sge for spare parts, but would like to make sure its not fuel also.) Oh, i'm in korea for another 3 weeks, so I can't just look for myself. there is no place on the stock rail to do that. you can either remove the stock regulator and go to an aftermarket and put a gauge on that, or get an aftermarket rail.

Is the regulator just threaded on? Have any idea of what the thread count might be? -------------------- -93 Rx7, Turbo 6.1L v8, 725rwhp/760rwtq

i'm sure it's some kind of bspt fitting like a 3/8 bspt and u would have to find a bspt to -6 an fitting, luckily turbosmart make a fpr rail adaptor for 3sgte celica/mr2
I'm interested in getting a fitting for the hardline to the fuel filter , and replace that damn thing with something thats easier to replace, i think thats a 1/4 bspt fitting... someone correct me please -------------------- Mike W

This would be simple, but since i'm in korea not so much. I come back and have a race in two days.... so I was hoping to order the parts and have everything ready when I got home. -------------------- -93 Rx7, Turbo 6.1L v8, 725rwhp/760rwtq

i would say so, does the 3sge fuel reg look like whats on here?
http://www.gtfours.co.uk/pics/fuel_rail/16...5/fuel_rail.htm every tappered thread that screws into a toyota/celica engine is bspt i've found so far, so its only a question of getting the right size bspt fitting -------------------- Mike W

im guessing 3/8 inch is te size used throughout the entire fuel system actually.., as that would give you an 8mm hose barb or a -6 fitting and stock fuel hose is 8mm ...
