never would have thought someone was crazy enough to even have the idea of putting a vq35 in a celi, and a 7th gen... come on what were you smoking when you imagined this, let alone actually do it. definitely think you should keep posting on it. think the two go together quite nicely, but then again it is a french motor rolleyes.gif

Lol, I may have been high on paint fumes, but once I bought the motor and started cutting for the trans tunnel, I knew it had to be done lol.

I'll definitely keep everyone updated on here. Once I get back on it steadily, I'll start a thread in the projects section and let everyone know what's happening. Didn't think people would be that interested in it to be honest.

It may be a french motor, but it's a pretty good one tongue.gif

the only thing i like about them is the sound, and they do have alot of aftermarket support for both boost and n/a which i like alot. if youve watched top gear they described that motor as gutless. but the whole idea of putting in a v6 from a 3200lb(may be more) car into a 2700lb celica AND rwd is just asking for attention imo.

Considering it will more than likely end up as a track car, which is what I really wanted out of the project, I don't see any attention as a problem. Not many insurance companies want to insure something like this and if they do it's going to have limited use anyways. Also the fact I don't treat the road as a race track helps with unwanted attention.

Car is still on my policy, just off the road as fire/theft. I dont' even need to re-inspect the car, just have to get emissions test done when it's finished to get my plates. I'd rather just keep it as a track car anyways.

As for just insuring a 7th gen, last thing I want is to put all this effort into it and then something happens and they compensate me for a stock 7th gen. Forget that.
