hey guys, i have some news. i sent an e-mail to bodykits.com explaining our situation yesterday, well they responded today. they would like to know if we have 1 hood for replication. i stated we were shooting for somewhere around $350.00. now the ball is in our court, does any one have a c-one hood on this site? and if not what else can we do? i have an idea, but that's if we don't have a mold. let me know guys, ask ?'s, this may be the chance we've been waiting for.

I haven't had a chance to read through the whole post to see what's the situation. But sounds like you guys don't have a supplier lined up.

Sorry to jump in (Just trying to help though), but how many guys are for sure-for sure on this one with money in hand? Its going to take a couple guys to pay up front just to lock in the deal and yes someone has to purchase the original to make to mold off. Whether it be the shop doing the work and hopes to resell it or some guy in here who wouldn't mind the shop "borrowing" it to make some copies.

P.S. Also getting an original from Japan is not going to be a problem.

But if someone can let me know some numbers of whose 100% interested and willing to pay up front to get it done, I'll do what I can to help you guys out and see what I can produce with my connects.

*Thumbs up for Coomer for putting together a such warm-welcoming family for us new guys*

i'm interested completely...but i dunno you are all, and since your member time has also been to short lived so far, i am not up for handing over $300+ dollars that might not come back...
i'd need reassurance

edit: i'm not trying to mean, just stating my opinion.

i say there are about 10-15 that do have cash on hand. if your contact can hook you up, then we can get you a exact #. all who have listed (38) are seriously interested. but yes i do know $ will be needed to begin. if you can get a good deal for 1, price wise then maybe we all can pitch in and purchase it. then draw #'s between the one's who pitched in give it away. maybe 15-20 dollars would be a good amt. so the more, the cheaper. sounds good and fair to me. unless by chance, someone on this site is willing to part with theirs should they have one.

consynx: Autoxtasy is my contact Sean from "autoxtasy motorsports" check out www.autoxtasymotorsports.com to view all the info from his company. you can check on www.xceedspeed.com, which is the Michigan sport compact enthusiast messageboard, where his company is a paying advertisor. he's a vendor for everything from bodykits to anything performance to anything EXTREMELY rare from japan. im not sure currently as to their ability to import motors and such, but it is stuff they have in the works for the future. ive been talking to him quite a bit since we first started getting the VIS sideskirt GB togeather, and depending how that goes, he may talk to some of his contacts and get this C-ONE hood GB going, then after that, may really look into producing some really big new components for the 6GC. things everyone has complained about, even contacted companies about, but havent got off the ground with. basically if the damand for the part is there, he is willing to do what he can to put it out there for us.

Tim

it might be best to wait though until we have all the specifics like exact pricing and shipping so we'll know for sure if people are in or not

yes, this is something we will do. but IMHO i think we would be pushing things a bit too fast at the moment, if its cool with everyone lets wait a week or 2 untill the sideskirt GB is completely in hand, then we will move on to this project, that cool with everyone?

Well i'm having a little trouble with VIS right now so let me deal with that. I have other companies like Extreme Dimensions asking me to buy their side skirts instead (same style) but I'd rather get you guys VIS because of the quality and fitment and plus I promised you guys that in the first place. So as soon as the current group buy is resolved and moving smoothly then we'll talk about other situations. Thanks for understanding guys.
