front plates are the worst. I refuse to register my car in MD for that reason. You found a great way of dealing with it though!

front plates are the worst. I refuse register my car in MD for that reason. You found a great way of dealing with it though! I don't know what the big fuss about not having a front plate is about. In most countries in the world you need a front plate, and so the result is that you get used to seeing the car with a plate... then it looks odd and kinda naked if you remove it. Some cars would totally benefit from not having a front plate, say for example Alfa Romeos- 'cos if its a choice between a plate not in the center and no plate on an Alfa I'd go for no plate. How do you guys drive across different states with different laws? Do you not get fined? -------------------- |

How do you guys drive across different states with different laws? Do you not get fined? No. Different state, different laws. Federal law does not require front plates, only certain states. And one state's laws cannot require residents of a totally different state to do things differently. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. My biggest issue is that the plate was right on the body line. Also, the plate bracket was totally rusted and seized to it's self, so I couldn't even get the plate off lol. I had to cut the bolts off and I just got a Japanese plate I wanted to mount, so not being able to take the front plate off was not happening.

This is what mine looks like. Its held on by only two bolts. No rust but, gosh the bumper is all bent inwards around the bracket. I guess from people parking enthusiastically. That's another problem with having no plate. I guess scrapes and bumps from tow bars(THE HORROR!) are going to happen easier.

wow....that video..wow. Brings me back to when I was doing car video's back in my freshman year of school. Could've chosen a better dubstep track at least, but damn they chose the most annoying one they could find (coming from somebody who listens to dubstep on a daily basis...) Anywho, OP, if you're going for that style of wheel I'd look into XXR 527, 530, 531 as well. I love how 531s look on some cars, and 527s look good on just about any car that can fit the 8.25" version (celicas can, and comfortably) -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold

My buddy has the XXR 002's and is going to sell them to me with Toyo Proxies for $300 lol. Looking at Tanabe Sustec Pro coilovers. I can't seem to find their lowering range though. Anyone have an idea?
Got around to changing the rear sway bar links today and this is exactly why you go Moog for all your chassis parts: Easiest way to get the OEM ones off: And if that doesn't work, you get a bigger vice grip lmao: -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-S 5S-FE 190k Miles. I always felt that the 513s were for older cars, like 70s datsun 240z's etc. They are the big thing in the Z-car forums. They look reeeeally good on an early Z-car.

I've noticed that pretty much any kind of rim looks good on these cars. The only kind that I've noticed that doesn't, would be those giant plate looking ones.

Did an alright acceleration video for my exhaust. I'll get a drive by one during the day when my friend has time out on her land in the middle of no-where.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Gu3jy2E9eQ...eature=youtu.be Also found some old footage of what I did on the interior of the Camry before she died: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciUJj4PM9S8...eature=youtu.be This was back in my younger teenage years when I liked flashy lights, subwoofers and VIP cars. Now I'm going a similar route with the Celica... guess we revisit our roots eventually. -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-S 5S-FE 190k Miles. QUOTE Finished product: Looks darker in photos than in real life. I saw what you did here and thought I like it but... I got a little something planned for the back up lamps but i'm still looking for the hadware needed. -------------------- |

I've very curious to see! I don't mind the backup lamps being clear on mine because my car is white and I Have smoked lenses up front, but the all red looks great on yours!
