Lets talk about deleting OEM Hydraulic Power steering pump

Looking at 2000 MR-S Spyder EHPS for a number of reasons. The MRS Spyder and 94-99 Celica 3SGE use a 100A Fusible Link for charging system. These two chassis also use an 80amp alternator to charge the battery.

Both MR-S (EHPS) and 2010+ Yaris (EPS) both use a 50A circuit load protection....

for the most part hydraulic pumps provide better feedback to driver than electric units and being that mr-s spyder uses an hydraulic rack makes the most sense. The 2008+ yaris EPS conversion would need a non hydraulic steering rack

I can get you a wiring diagram for the Yaris so you can get an idea what inputs it needs.

i work for lexus and I have access to TIS. I was going to post the wiring diagrams of each, but too much work until i have other info gathered. not sure if Id need more inputs because of steering lock ecu and immobilizer with 2008+ yaris.
