Anyone know if this would bolt in? Superstrut just seems to be a PITA. If I could swap for St205 MacPherson then i'd get bigger brakes at the same time, and maybe add some koni inserts or something.

the 205 also has superstrut.

SS looks drastically different than Mcpherson.

Springs all look the same...coils.

however you can convert SS cars to McPherson system..it just wont be coming from the ST205.

Don't some ST205 models have MacPherson Struts? I think some ST202's do, would they bolt straight in?

What's required to put ST205 calipers on the ST202, do I need a custom bracket?

Thanks.

the answer is NO. ST205 does NOT have Mcpherson.

ST205 calipers on ST202, runa search in this section of the forum someone has done it before but imo its not worth it.

The difference is immensely different.
Changing the SSS to Macpherson would require a HUGE overhall and would leave nothing of the origionan ST205 suspension. Arms, subframe, hub, driveshafts, steering rack and arms, shocks, springs etc etc...
Really not worth the job and in doing so you eliminate the SS performance and handling.
THe SSS usually last about 60k miles before changing. Looked after well and it should last longer.

Hey thanks, was wondering if it was a viable option, seems not to be. Will search to see what other people have done as upgrades instead.

well I'm using TRD lowering springs, TRD top mounts front and rears, uprated KYB shocks front and back. A lot of GT4 owners in the UK are actually reverting from Tein and TRD coilovers back to adjustable shocks and loweing springs because of cost and practicallaty especially with Tein coilovers being over £1500 in the UK.
However I'm in the process of testing the BC coilovers which is almost 1 third that price.
