If I lived nearby I'd paint it in exchange for the alcohol of my choice.
Hmm.... How about YelliVeeCelli? See what I did there. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Picked up a set of rust free doors over the weekend
They were basically dent free too till I went to put them on Dropped one on the jack do now I have a dent in the once clean pass side door But they came from a base model st so I now have much lighter doors. Non power windows an locks FTW!! Lol I'll try to update with some pics of what I've done to it here lately soon Been slacking a lot on this thread. -------------------- 95 gt coupe, v6 swap weekend toy

The power lock is just a solenoid that weighs a few grams, and then the window motor is a pound or two. If anything these weigh more since they're not rusted out. I hate when you have something near perfect, and somehow screw it up. I think at this point you should definitely go harlequin. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

True. Still, I rather have the extra 10-20 or so pounds to save trouble. Reaching over to roll a window up or down, or to open and lock the door sucks.

Know what else you won't miss? A back seat and carpet when you strip this thing out and make it a lightweight track car.

Now that it has the power I'd make it into a luxurious grand tourer. Replace the back seat with a liquor cooler.

Now that it has the power I'd make it into a luxurious grand tourer. Replace the back seat with a liquor cooler. I've been debating On witch way I want to go I've wanted a stripped out racer/dd for a long time. But a comfy sporty car Would be just as nice. But once the suspension is done......it won't be that comfy of a ride anymore This post has been edited by kurt95gt: Oct 15, 2013 - 12:34 AM -------------------- 95 gt coupe, v6 swap weekend toy

Get super adjustable coil-overs so you can go from street to track setups in no time.

Hmm, I still say luxury. Track prepped car will be fun on the road for like 5 minutes, after that you'll go crazy. I at one point removed my rear seat, the road noise that came through with just that gone was insane. You'll want to drive it instead of your regular GT once it's all sorted. Maybe turn the coupe into a track car. Being this one is swapped with an engine that was never available from the factory, it'll ruin some events that go by certain classes etc...

Ah but you forget I use to dd a stripped 240sx that had a dashboard drives seat an the drivers door panel. Or an 2.5 inch straight pipe exhaust an a escort zx2 that was the same basic way but the exhaust stopped at the doors lol.
But they both lacked something the celica has The 240 handled well but was slow as hell The zx2 was stupid quick but did handle for crap. The 1mz does both very well. I have no fear of how loud it will be. The coupe will end up being the road trip car an stay as good old reliable...... just with alil bigger heart down the road -------------------- 95 gt coupe, v6 swap weekend toy

Well there's your problem, you never swapped the 240.
Meh, I just like things quite when driving. Except for the intake, and depending on the engine the exhaust. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
