Anyone know if the 7afe and 5sfe coil is interchangeable? If so, I have one

I started with what I know to do, I swap engine into my car, I knew it was too much work to make it a AWD. I kept it FWD. Went to take a crack at doing the wiring conversion. Than, I realize, shoot, this is out of my league.

They're not. Look at RockAuto, eBay, or Amazon for the best prices on one. I was looking for someone else the other night on RockAuto and they weren't terribly expensive if I recall correctly.

also is the same parts from a 4 cylinder Camry '90-97ish, depending on when they switched from a dizzy to coil packs. But there are a dozen of them in Each salvage yard in town.

I have the igniter, just need a coil. I'm not sure which ones are interchangeable. I'm using a 3SGTE coil now and it works (doesn't fit the coil wire well) but getting misfire code due to it I presume..

I don't have rockauto around here but regardless, I figured one from a auto parts store would be close to $100+..

I'll look into that option.

$40 from AutoZone, thanks smile.gif

That and the cap and wires.

See this is the beauty of OBDI, it doesn't trigger for every little thing. tongue.gif

I need a coil anyway. Cap, rotor and wires are brand new OEM.
