Hi

I am looking to purchase performance parts for a 3rd gen 3sgte. When searching online at different websites I started noticing that parts like cam gears, pistons, flywheels, clutches, fuel injectors, and etc. had description for 90-95 3sgte.

Those that have upgraded their 3sgte 3rd gen motors - Does 1st, 2nd gen parts fit on the 3rd gen 3sgte as long as its a 2.0L ? Some sites that I visited don't even have the year of the engine described, just simply 3SGTE as the application desciption, so I'm assuming it fits on any gen motor. Here is an example:
Cam Gears

manifold
this website says it fits all year 3sgte --

any help is appreciated.

cam gears - I think so.
pistons - yes
flywheels - yes
clutches - yes
fuel injectors - yes, but why would you want to?

There are some parts that are not interchangable. However, the bottom end and the clutch/flyweel assembly are for sure. Many parts in the head are as well (e.g. cams, buckets, etc). The turbo is as well.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

I believe the studd paterns on the manifolds are different on the 2nd and 3rd gen GT4`s.

thank you for your replies --

My swap should be done at the end of October - can't wait - i guess i finally got fed up with other cars passing me or either reving up their engines next to me since I know that the 5sfe has little chance against most of the new cars -
