I hear that the TRD springs are very similar to the Eibachs, but they generally cost more. I'd go for the Eibachs if I were you. My friend has these springs on his 2000 Eclipse and it's a nice smooth ride with no bounciness at all. If you can afford them, Koni Yellows are going to be your best bet as far as shocks go. They'll run you from $500-600 plus around $300 for installation however.

go with coilovers bro. its priceless to be able to drop your ride to the ground during the summer, and raise it up for the winter. trust me on this one, coilovers are worth every god damn penny, especially the ground controls.

that figure is for all four. the rear shocks need to be cut to accept the Koni catridge and then welded back shut. most of the estimates I have seen have been in the 200-300 range, unless you take out the shocks yourself and just take the rear shocks in for cutting and welding. probably be only 100-150 then.

free install smile.gif . a guy i know has a civic SI and said he would help with the install. hes got the eibach sportlines, they lowered it 1 1/2", hes riding on stock struts and shocks. his car looks/sounds/rides amazing! so that isnt an issue

...adjustable isnt really a problem anymore, stock body in the winter, bodykit in the summer... id rather just keep replacing that on and off rather than the ride height.

I agree with ghost dog, go with the coilovers! You can really slam your ride like 4 inches, springs only give you like 1.75 inches

I just got my coilovers from EBay, you can find every thing on there if you look hard enough. You can get body kits on there real cheap!

just remember, you get what you pay for !!

not to say there aren't discounts if you look for them, but be very wary of prices that seem too low to be true. for example bodykits, spend 400 bucks on one from ebay, pay an extra 400 in fitament tongue.gif

I agree with the coilovers.. Just waiting or Tein to make a set for a 6th gen... They make ones for my rear end but not the gt front... cab control ride height...ummmm.

I have the TRD lowering springs and I am not really happy with them. they are way better than stock but all the cars I have been in that have eibach springs ride REALLY nice. If your just gonna go with spring do eibach.. cheaper and better

thanks for the info.... so it leaves me with the eibach pro series and the sportlines.... any opinions?

and im really not intending on dumping 2K into my suspension atleast untill after the swap... so a FULL coilover setup (like the JIC or TEIN) isnt really what im looking for yet...

k2... why not save your cash and put it toward the swap??? your stock springs are better than most aftermarket ones... there just higher... If you want a temp lower most automotive parts stores will sell these things that clamp onto you springs... you can lower your car a good inch or two with acouple sets.... I would never do this myself but have done it on a civic before and it worked... just wouldn't leave it on for more than a year without redoing them. just a suggestion to save some cash now and get something better later. otherwise get the pros

I had some Eibach Sportlines installed on mine about a year and a half ago and didn't replace the shocks/struts when I had them installed. The ride quality is pretty good considering I've got 17" Enkies and 215/40/ZR17 tires which make you feel a lot of the action from the road. I highly recomend these springs, the also handle great, even without other mods.
I think springs are better than coil overs because everytime you change the height of your car, it changes the camber of your tires which makes them wear unevenly if you don't get it altered everytime also. That's just my opinion though.
