Did anybody ever find a source for aftermarket flywheels on the ST?

Does anybody have an OEM flywheel laying around that they will sell?

The only thing even close that fidanza has listed on their application guide is the one for the 4agze in the MkI mr2 (its also 8.5lbs like you said). Does this mean that the 4agze flywheel will for sure fit the 7a?

Don't 4A-GE/4A-GZE flywheels have eight bolts, while the 7A-FE flywheel has six? I'm pretty sure that that's the way it is, and if so, a 4A-GZE flywheel wouldn't fit. wink.gif

makes it harder to stall the car with a 5spd

putting in a lighter flywheel will make you have to learn how to drive you car again. not that it would take more than an hour to get the feel of it. and im sure the gains in efficiency would be well worth it.

Yah, toyota did have a reason for it....it allows the average idiot to drive the car rolleyes.gif (don't be an a55 unless you want it back)

Toyota also had a reason for not putting the 3sgte in the US 6th gen and not turboing the ST but are we going to pay any attention to those facts? Nope.
