My exhaust line is getting old and while looking for
replacement parts, i've noticed something strange
about it's configuration. Have a look at Bosal products catalogue (www.bosalnafta.com) images:

(1990-93 scheme)

On the 94, the c. converter is in the MIDDLE while in the 93, it is at the FRONT. I checked on my 94 celica gt liftback and the c. converter is at the front, like on the 93. Weird... Anyone with a 6th gen can tell me where is the c. converter really? Cuz if i buy a cat back like the sp greddy, Ill have problems to fit it in...

thanks

K2_celica,

Hmm how come on the drawings theres only 1 CC (at the front for 5th gen, in the middle for 6th gen)???
I had the car lifted and the mechanics told me I probably have a combo of both gens:

front = 5th gen
back = 6th gen

There is only one CC and its a the front...

a combo of both gens? So if you have a gt-4 it is really a st105 or st285?

Get a 2nd opinion.

What you can do is to remove all.

Install a high flow CAT in the orginal space or underneath the car and then a muffler.

You have just kill 2 birds with one stone.

What's a good cat to use? Also, our cars have no sensor in the cat(s) do they?
