I'm going to try rubberized undercoating. I've been told it works great for sound deadening. And I got it for $1.25 a can.

i was just gunna say this.. but check the thickness, we have a hudge roll at my house, but its kinda thin.. but its should still work, an a hella lot cheaper |

Walmart carries a roll on rubberized undercoating. My bro did the inside of his 4runner cargo area with it - looked pretty good for a $20 job.
