As in, you got the car from Japan, with the stock Japan radio?

Hi, I had to get a band expander for my radio too - without it I could only get 2 stations.

In my previous car I got the same staticy noise after turning off the radio and twisting the volume. In my case, the previous owner hadn't soldered/clamped the speaker wires and instead had just twisted them together and wrapped them with insulation tape.

As soon as I redid the wires (with solder) the noise was gone. I guess it has something to do with the metal wires oxidising?

Hope this helps smile.gif
