TRD I believe makes one for the GT. Kinda hard to get and about $800-$900. Phanton grip will also make you a custom one for about $350. Its probably not going to be quite as good as the TRD one (I believe its a torsen) but still pretty good....a lot better than nothing.

kaaz makes one for the gt and st, i read on the club4a site that kaaz systems are the best bang for the buck. i can't remember the name of the site that i found them at but i got the site from an issue of super street. i believe they carry the 1.5 way limited slips. but spedtoe would know more about whats better.

edit: the kaaz lsd cost around $895 i believe.

dang, so it sounds like the cheap way to go with be with the mr2/lsd combo.

dont know much about the phantom grip ones tho. it sounds like it would be too good to be true.

lagos - I have been researching this too. The LSD you get will obviously depend on the tranny you choose after the swap. If you go with the E-153, you have to get a LSD that fits the E-153. I have heard that KAAZ is almost a racing application LSD and has disadvantages for street cars. Cusco is also fairly agressive. From what I have read, the best street applications appear to be TRD and Quaife. All of these manufacturers make a LSD for the E-153. I do not know about the S-54.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Stock tranny can handle a 3SGTE depending on how much HP you are trying to go to.

i think it also depends on how you drive, i have always believed in driving my car like i stole it and if something breaks i fix it. so if i was going to do a 3s-gte swap i would definately get a stronger tanny. but, that's my opinion, i don't have experience with that engine. also i may be a little bias cause i'm selling an s54 curren tanny that can take 350hp no problem with axles, wheel hubs, shift fork, clutch, and flywheel for $400.

shameless promotion of merchandise....check wink.gif
