for those of you who have actually done the swap. with little or no performance hp upgrades how does the 5sfe tranny seem to be holding up.

anyone who has swapped in the curren tranny how much did you buy it for, where and what kind of HP is it suppose to hold? also any dillemas installing?

im really concerned that the 5sfe tranny will go, making it much easier to replace it while the engine it out.

uhh...i blew a hole in the bellhousing the first week. but i think it was my own fault...i refuse to hard launch, just real nervous about it. I'm definately doing a MR2T tranny swap at some point, i just dont like the unpredictablility.

and by unpredictablility you mean, not knowing the work required. or if it will hold up on fwd or what? im desperate to soak up some knowledge here

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
