And as for a meet, with more and more West coast celi's with decent engines swapped in the meet is definitly something we need to get together! We really should start making plans.

edit: actually I'll start a thread, if you could sticky it coomer that would be great!

It's from a '92-'95 Levin, but I'm not exactly sure which year out of those it is.

wow, for all the belts, coolant, tranny fluid, seals, oil, oil filter etc etc I'm paying 2,200... Damn good deal even if they did take months to do it. And the 2,200 dosnt even include exhaust piping or the IC I need to get.

Getting ripped off?

Also remember though, that autoBoggie scratched up one of Coomer's new wheels as well as some of his paint. He's going to have to pay for that until he can do something legally to get compensation from AutoBoogie.

hey coomer.... i probably should have said this earlier.... but since the motor is used and you really don't know how long ago it was last used, or how many miles (realistically)..... it would be a good idea to do at least an oil change around 500 miles after the motor was put in....

just to be safe i did it on mine at 500 miles, and will be doing it again at 1,000 today...... me picking up the stuff just reminded me you ought to know smile.gif

I don't know about you guys, but when I do a swap, it usually includes a complete oil flush, then new just about everything... wouldn't you consider that new oil? Heh... I get what you mean though. It could have been sittin for a long time, built up residue, then with new oil, it could go bad really quick... ;]

Congrats Coomer! You really deserve it. I'm glad there is another 4AGE 20v powered Celica on the board. Like I've always said... to bad you're on the other side of the country.

We already changed the oil after running the car for about half an hour once it started, and yeah, my mechanic suggested that I do it again before 1,000 miles. I bought some oil yesterday, and today I'll probably go down to Toyota to get a filter, and then hopefully I can change it soon. smile.gif

Sounds good! biggrin.gif I want to ride in yours really badly!

In two weeks I'll have a bunch more work done to the car too. smile.gif Nothing big though, just cleaning it up, painting some stuff, a bit of custom interior work, etc.
