I am just curious how many people have been ticketed for having the HID conversion done.

Actual HID conversions, or do HID-look headlight bulbs count too?

IDK how many people actually have the HID conversion done. Its technically illegal because the housing doesnt properly direct the light. I'm hoping the flare on the JDMs can be controlled, so i can get a nice beam. The projector does do the job nicely.

Most cops won't even know that the HID in your car is illegal. At least around here they wouldn't. But the companys' are taking them off the market because they are or are going to be illegal to sell or something like that.

The projecters will not be taken off the market, for any reason. You can go down to your local auto parts dealer and find lots of stuff that is "for off road use only". So all the companies that sell the projecters might just have to put that they are for off road use only, and they would be safe. Besides they are not an aftermarket part, they are Toyota made which means toyota would have to discontinue them before they were made imposible to get, which I dont think will be happening.

Places to get them would be www.digitalroo.com or www.toyotaworld.com
