What size are your tires now? I'd imagine that with 19" wheels, they have to be 30 or 35 or something, which would be really bad for ride quality.

If you go bigger, you may rub, and your speedometer will be off, if it's not already.

I have 40s on my car, and I just drive very carefully. I'd suggest that you do the same...watch out for railroad tracks...those tend to be bad. wink.gif

I'm not really. GT-4 has 19" wheels on his car and doesn't rub. wink.gif

not necessarily top to bottom or around the sides, but you gotta be getting close to rubbing when you are at your maximum turn radius

Man... 19's on the celica? I think 17's almost look too big for these cars. If you get taller tires you will most likely rub when you turn. Your are going to feel everything on the road no matter what you do unless you go smaller rims with more tire. BTW... I wanna see a pic of those wheels on the car.. BLING BLING

Actually 225/35/18 Its a 18 inch tire that the 19" lip of the rim sits over the tire, makeing them 19s. ITS crazy looking....but i only hav 1" of space between the road and the rim!!!! So i need to switch it up!!! soon

Yeah...35 series tires are correct on 18in rims. If you had 19's with a 35 series you would probably be rubbing when you made turns. There isnt much you can do about it. You bought some big bling bling rims so now thats all its about..bling blinging..not ride quality.

kind of a expensive to buy all new tires to test huh?

Turn your wheels all the way in and see how much space you have in the back of the wheel well. You may be able to do some 225/40/18's...or you might have to go with a more narrow tire like 215/40/18... You probably can get away with one step taller BUT im not sure it would make that much difference in ride quality.

You can try, but I'd imagine that you'll have major issues with rubbing, and your speedometer will be really far off.

go 40, with rims that big i would stick with 35 and suck it up, if you were looking for a car with superb ride quality you should of gotten a mercedes. i ride 35 and i dont have a problem...

going 45 might not fit, but it will look dumb on your rim...
