Depends on mileage, but thats a very good price.
Also consider that its not plug and play, u'll probably have to run new oil lines. This post has been edited by Supersprynt: Mar 11, 2004 - 8:13 AM -------------------- |

QUOTE(celicast3sgte @ Sep 17, 2006 - 11:57 PM) as well as an EMS Why? There are a ton of guys on mr2oc running the tdo6 without an ems, why would it be different for a celica? Same goes for fuel upgrades, a lot of those guys are running stock injectors, etc. |

$700's not a bad price, but I'm not sure about the 17C turbo. Its between a small 16G and big 16G in size - which is a good thing. Pry 500CFM of flow at 15PSI. But the 16G's use the tD05 exhaust housings which are smaller and spool quicker. TD06 will give you more flow, but more lag.
I have a td05-14B on my FWD celica and it spools fairly quickly. Once I hit the 3500 rpm range, it seems like a totally different car - the boost comes on so strong that the 4000 - 7000 rpm range is a blur. I have a td06-20G on my all-trac. Spool hits a little later - 4700 rpm or so, but then it pulls really hard to red-line. Definately more power, but not as quick. The 16G is probably the best ballance for a street car. If the 17C is comparible, it'll be a fun ride. FYI - I made an adapter for the stock manifod for $70 using 2 flanges and a piece of 2.5" pipe welded together. Bought the 14B for $100 and the O2 housing for $120. The rest of the downpipe was a 2.5" long elbow and 2 flanges - $50 welded. Custom oil lines are another $100 or so. -------------------- Scott

Not trying to be an ass here, Sometime in the next couple years I would like a TD06 MR2, so I'm doing my research now. |
