I have to go with the 3sgte.. not being bias but I have driven almost all of these motors and the only on that is close is the GSX... really close

Oh yeah, and neverstop, I don't know if you have heard but the new
4g63(EVO VIII) is at 280hp. But it's not out yet and good vote.

has everyone forgotten about the fabled 2JZ-GTE??? or maybe that engine from bmw that goes into the McLaren F1. I don't know what it is called but it only has like 300+hp. But it sure makes that car move. But all in all the 2JZ is gonna be one of the best engines out there. Toyota should definitely bring it back into the 8th Gen Celica. LOL GT-6 That would be the day.

if you meant the mclaren engine is around 300 hp, that's a bit under.
they're about 650 i believe

i dont knwo what the engine code of this motor is but if i had to choose a stock 4 banger motor, i would go wit the s2000 motor. pushes a good amount and its a non turbo

I believe that you are thinking of the LM version. Those do have 650 well actually 680hp, so you are right about that one. But the very first ones had around 300.
I also heard that they have a carbon fiber shell. That would be sweet. I went to there site and it did the 0-100-0 time thingy. Took it 11.5 seconds. That's 0mph to 100mph back down to 0mph. damn.

I voted SR-20. I did this for one reason. You can get the engine, drop it in an old 240, and have a car that will run low 14's for under 5k!

well you could also put a jdm 2nd gen 3s-gte in a 5th gen celi and have 25 mo ponies for prolly less than 5g

also, as far as the most potent 4 banger, definately the late 80's early 90's mustang 4 banger, with out a doubt, you can tune those to over 100hp and have a low 18 sec car.

for real though I'll have to go for the sti
