I've read and researched several swap options and found for all intents and purposes that the BVC w/ auto trans is for me. Now the difficulty lies in that all the clips I've found have it set in a right side drive configuration. My question is how much of a twist does this play into a USDM engine swap? I've yet to read that this would be a major problem, just looking for some clarification. Thanks in advance...

Jimmy, the only problem that I can think of would be like every other swap mainly the wiring issues.

The only mechanical problems that we really had when swapping my engine from a RHD car into mine was that the power steering pump is mounted on the exhaust side of the engine, rather than the intake side. We had to mount an external power steering fluid reservoir and run new lines to make the power steering work.
Also, we had to use a longer throttle accelerator cable. I really don't think you'll run into that many problems mechanically. The wiring will probably be the hardest part of the swap. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

I'll second all both that has posted so far... however, it's ALWAYS more difficult and more expensive than it sounds. I for one did a direct swap with minor rebuilds in my AE86 and currently sit at around 1600 dollars or so for various little crappy stuff. Also, why an auto? It kinda defuncts the fun of the 4AG 20V... but whatever's coo with you.

I second that, especially since my engine doesn't hardly make any power until around 4,000 RPM. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
