Right now my celica is leaking oil, the rotors are smoking after I brake hard (YES I need new ones) my engine studders if below 2100 rpm, my steering wheels shakes hard at highway speeds... I plan to get most of this stuff fixed this month, wish my bank account good luck. Also anyone else been hit with a barrage of problems like mine lately?

Get your wheels rebalanced will stop your shaking, or just buy new ones.

Yeah I know I need to buy some new tires but I also want to buy rims soon thats why I have been lagging, I guess I might have to put the rims off if I dont want to drive on bald tires.

my car does a little bit of a jerky thing when it's in 1st gear and at low rpm's when I'm not pressin the gas, but I think that's just normal for a stick (dunno if you have auto or manual though)

I have a manuel, it never jerks in first gear or when the engine is cold.

when i start mine in the morning before i go to work it is REALLY loud. It sits just below 2 grand on the RPM's. But it doesn't stay like that. It goes down after it gets warm. That's the only problem that I have ever had. Other than when I first got the car. It would pull really hard to either side whenever I went down a hill or something like that. I changed the power steering fluid to some really expensive stuff (can't remember what) and it cured it.

Mine does exactly the same (it's around 1800rpm though), I'm pretty sure its normal.
It is kind of annoying though.
Benevolence - what's your car's milage?
Mine hasn't had any mechanical problems but it's only at 76,000 miles so it should be ok.
What I have had gone is minor stuff like the aerial motor, tailgate lock, alarm unit and ABS sensors.

My car has 150,000+ miles on it and I have never had nothing greater than a slight vibration in the steering wheel. All I did was balance my tires and it went away. My car has also been through a minor and major accident. As far as I'm concerned these cars are built to last. With all the stuff that I'm doing now, the car is running better and handling better than ever. Treat your ride right and it will perform for you. Plus how could you not treat this car right, its so damn cool looking wiggle.gif

knock on wood been trouble free since the firehydrant incedent in december... a few rattles coming from the trunk and rear passanger speaker molding but this spring i plan on taking all my moldings apart and redoing them all and get rid of all the rattles... just got my fingers cross that ill have the money to install the bodykit in march/april is my only real concern, that and praying my struts arent too bad so they will adapt to my new springs that will be put on at the same time.

i have been there before:
clutch started going
2 trans syncros went
alignment got messed up
gauges werent working properly
alarm wasnt working correctly
when they installed my alarm they scratched up my head unit

all this within a month over the summer. it was rough.

(1) Eating a wee bit of oil
(2) Front-right wheel bearing destroyed. Hub might need replacement as well. Will do that in 2 days, and in the mean time I'm like walking on thin ice.
Lucky it's under warranty....phew rolleyes.gif

Well I got the leaky oil problem fixed and the engine studdering too, same problem, just the gasket was incorrectly put on by my supposedly reliable mechanic that I pay extra money (he aint cheap per hour) because I thought he gets the job done right the first time, oh well Im happy those two problems are fixed, now all I need are some new rubbers and new rotors (price estimate for new rotors?) and my celi will be running like new!
