Is it true the 7afe is the same block as a 4age/4agze?

I read the article on celica.net, but has anyone ever dropped a 4agze head onto a 7afe and still have the engine running? And is there any benefit in it? To me it seems useless??

No, the 7A-FE block is different from the 4A-GE and 4A-GZE engines.

I've seen a few 7A-GZE engines that run. You get the 4A-GZE head with the better valve angle and the supercharger, with the larger displacement of the 7A-FE. wink.gif

7age is just a little different performance wise. Not really worth the trouble.

A turbo build up is FAR more benificial.

4agze. AE92 are the ideal. We're waiting on ZipStrips to post up the how-to and part numbers for them

and i didnt forget.. i finally got about 2hrs tonight and have just typed up about 2 pages. i took about 5-8 pictures too. im not too happy with them, and im still in an early rough draft... ive decided to make it a very general howto, prep and parts list before i even go into an install type of explaintion... i hope to have noobs totally educated on the turbo topic and just shy of 1st hand experience left for them to learn on their own.
