I won't list all of my modifications, but I've spent around $7,000 on my car, after I paid $7,800 for the car.

On mods. Hmm. Maybe 500 lol. Nothing done to it yet. I suppose my biggest mod is my fresh new 5SFE. Yeah, that brings the total to over 2 grand.

ahhhh hahahaha yeah....

Car = $8500

3rd gen engine = $1800 shipped
Wolf 3d EMS = $1400 (never worked, refused return, sold for $400) total = $1000 loss
Haltech = $1300
Exhaust parts = $750 (downpipe, muffler, piping, flex joints, flanges)
Front mount I/C = $500
engine swap labor, haltech Installation + dyno time + tuning costs, exhaust fab, intercooler pipe fab = $4k
Engine rebuild after it blows up on the dyno = $2k
Misc parts = $2k easy
st205 body parts = $1200 or so, so far
Clutch problems with swap after clutchnet sent me the wrong disc....twice + labor = $1000
Do I add in the plane tickets and shipment of the vehicle cross country to deal with issues considering I lived in California and the car was in Maine? :-P

Still not running 100%, still don't have all the st205 body parts, still no paint. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot too because I added it all up a while back and it was more than that.

TOOO MUCH... But not as much as NEVERSTOP. That boy has put in way too much.. tongue.gif

I'd rather not say... but if you look at my Project Diary in the Completed Swaps Sticky in the Engines/Transmissions forum... you could probably formulate an rough estimate on how much I've spent. biggrin.gif

so far this year ive invensted in my MR2:
bodykit: 525
stereo: 340
TRD shifter: 100
A-pillar: 25
TOTAL: 990

im estimating before the summer is over:
kit install and paint: 500-2000 depending on if i get the whole car repainted (its very nice being sponsored by 2 shops biggrin.gif )
boost and oil pressure gauges: 100
antitheft/turbo timer: 600
Blitz Nur Spec: 400
Sparco Seats: Not sure what kind of deal i will get, probably still going to be around 1k
TOTAL: 2100+Paint/install, which is going to be around 3100-3600

so 4090-4590 in one year + a civic hatch winter car + payments on school + girlfriend, for the first time i dont have to wonder where all my money went lol

A lot of my parts sorta just transfered over from my previous. Hmm... I'd guess around 3k or so in the Celica and purchase price was 2500. My AE86 sits at 2k (including DMV fees, purchase price, engine and parts).

Minor rust (I'm gonna fix it this sunday hopefully)...it's nearly 20 years old darn it! Came with a 1/2 dead motor (currently tearing down just for ****z and giggles) and it's already been swapped with a JDM smallport. If the price tag goes up... it'll be all for performance. I have a pile of parts to sell from it also...;] I just ordered some cams (the original Toda deal didn't go through) so hopefully those will get in. The 2k price tag includes towing, all work and various parts done for it already... waterpump, all belts, fluids, clutch, muffler, cat, exhaust work, 2 sets of wheels already, amoung other things. I'm building and modding at the same time... the way it should be...;] Paint should be applied sometime when I have time after the bondo work. Gonna be flat black with clear coat... =D

Out of curiousity, are some of you including the amount you've spent on parts that are no longer part of your car? If that's the case, I could honestly say that I've spent close to NEVERSTOP... I've gone through a few body kits, 3 sets of springs, 4 paint jobs, motor swap, etc... But if we were to just count the stuff that are on my car right now... that would be a different story. wink.gif

Well Ray.....Did you get a refund when you took the stuff off?? I think its money spent. Like you take the money for the hood you got from J but add the cost of making it. You do the math. biggrin.gif
