Hi All,
Im having a problem with the instal of a TRD Quickshifter i purchased recently. I did all the steps as mentioned in coomers HowTo article. However, when i put in the quickshifter i cannot shift to the 1st 3rd and 5th gears...i noticed that the shift linkage cable(one with a ball at the end) loosley at the end where the metal pieces hold the cable to the shifter frame...
The shifter box says that it is for models 94-97 and my car is a 99..does it make a difference..
Also, i noticed that there were rubber spacers(bushes) on my old shifter and i replaced them with the metal ones for the quickshifter...
Can anybody help me as what ig wrong.

Thanks,
Preetham.

I also noticed that the rear tip(the tip with the ball) of the shift linkage cable(the cable with the ball) hits the frame at the rear when i move the shifter knob forward....is this normal....

thanks, fixed it....the mistake i made was not placing the shift linkage cable on the shift frame correctly, this is what happens if one works in poor light....took me 20 minutes to install in the morning....
It feels good with the short throws...have not put back the console and shift boot n stuff...am looking forward to installing my momo boot n knob....will post pics soon..
