*Raises hand*

I second the motion to purchase mike's Celica and have it shipped. Then, you'll still have some dough left over to treat your dad to some fine dining.

you guys are something else. This kid has a beat up Celica who now has a chance to own a good decently fast Si. With a neverending amount of performance parts and what not. These cars are nice given ther are people who rice then out but that goes both ways on any car. Now why would this kid want to purchase a Celica that is already tapped out. A.) Your car should be your self-image not another guys image. B.) Its a 5SFE with pimped out parts but still a 5sfe not even 3s. C.) Hmmm which motor will last longer..... You guys sound like morons. Quit hating Honda, the Si will crap on either of our motors(exc. 3sgte) Better suspension-Better motor-Better tranny. So what if there are some ricers Civic is damn near the most popular car in America by all ages. Dont listen to them Phat Boi you have an oppurtunity to own a car that can easily get you into the 14's with headers-exhaust-cold air intake and some pulleys. Endless possibilities from Skunk2 to AEM. Good luck

And for christ sakes wil everyone Shut the hell up about hondas there good cars. Funny thing is on Honda forums they dont rag on celicas or Toyotas in General they can respect a car for what it is. Grow up and quit bitching!

But going with a civic will make it just that much harder to personalize it. They are the most popular cars driven by all ages you say. Well who wants the most popular, poular is not original popular is whats affordable, yeah i say get rid of the celica if you dont have any big plans for it. But why go for a car that shows up every two seconds on the highway. Its like a mustang only from japan. I would never ever buy a mustang unless it was a cobra. Theres no point in it otherwise. So i say save your dough and go for another car. I dont have anything against honda except that its everywhere. I realy realy like preludes but civics just dont have that spark. They can have it but it isnt something new its a sugar coated cliche. But **** if you like civics then do it but if you want to be original from the bones up then wait and find somehting thats makes you cum in your pants when you sit in the drivers seat.

Well, the Si is out. The guy selling it drove it hard and it needs a new clutch and he hasn't replaced the timing belts yet. Freaking lamer.

Anyways, since my car is now a total loss, I'm thinking of getting this nice looking liftback Celica up at Tampa Honda. It has woodgrain in the interior, a sunroof, and is a '96. I'm going to check it out sometime this week and offer them $4000 for it, since I think its an ST, although it might be a GT if I'm lucky and since it ain't a Honda they might sell it cheaper.

I decided on another Celica because I really like how it looks modded and even though it isn't fast the car just is plain SEXY. Even though my girl doesn't like it I do, so I'm going to have to get this Celica if they take me up on my offer.

My first celica had wood grain interior. I couldnt tell if it was supposed ot be aftermarket or was an option. But i got a lot of compliments on the way it looked. Said it looked like a bmw or somethign i dont remember but everyone i met liked it. But it got totalled by some dick in a truck. But hey i ended up getting another one in better condition. 1/2 the miles had a sunroof and leather interior and 2 extra speakers and an equalizer. Oh and plus its a GT just like my other. All of it is bone stock so it is waiting to be molded by yours truly.

lol wuts with the bimmer obsession?

There's a '87 3 series near where I live for $4,500. Has all the original parts except for the timing belts, the convertible top and the tires. It has everything stock, and the shifter looks brand new too. I might get it but I dunno, this GT looks bad ass and I just found out it also has a sunroof just like mine did.

those are def cool, but 4500 seems kinda high price, unless low miles,... get a 92+ 325i or 91+ 525i, The m50 was one of there best deisgns, Geat engines, great powerband... mine had 169 on it, still hald ass, and ran perfect.... just a sugestion.

87 3-series? too old school... not to mention expensive to fix... its not like these cars are reliable either... european cars definetley need to be "babied" much more than others. If you take care of them (major inspections every 7500-1000 miles), you wont have problems, but they are nothing like the japanese, and even amreican cars out there... and yes 4500 is a LOT for that 3 series...

ha if you want a real coneseuirs' BMW get a 2002, especially the ti model- a real classic german automobile with tons of character.

My girlfriend is selling her 99 Civic Si with Jackson racing SUPERCHARGER with 64k miles. She has eibach springs, dc headers and catback exhaust, short shifter, tv in center console with dvd player, and two tens in the trunk. Her car is super clean with a new motor. Pm me if you are interested. I will have to get her to make up her mind on a price. BTW my car is for sale and I will negotiate a price, just so that I see my car go to a Celica enthusiast.
