LSD works for acceleration... the reason it's "limited slip" is to allow the tires to still turn at different speeds around corners, but off the line it acts almost like a locker. - aba |

My AC doesn't work, but I haven't tried fixing it yet. I don't think mine is clicking on at all so I have to check the switch. Not sure why no one would be able to get it working. It's not that complex. - aba |

I've heard of fittament problems around the frame or something. I'm pretty sure that I've heard this and I don't think I'm just pulling it out of my a. |

Well, ELP told me that my A/C will work. However, I haven't had the chance to get the A/C recharged. Once I get it charged, I'll let you all know if it works or not. |

As far as fitment issues, no. My entire AC system is installed physically in the engine bay. It's just not recharged and the AC magnet switch doesn't work right now. - aba |

Anyone know if the Corolla GTZ tranny with LSD will fit into the Celica? What about any of the other Corolla trannys? (Black 6-speed, etc)

I don't really like to street race... But... Civics? They're a waste of my gas, but I've beaten a couple. The DX was a joke. The SI sorta kept up... but not really. CRX? He couldn't even keep up. Accords? My brother and I was messin with one this one type because he wouldn't leave us alone. Camaros? Haven't raced one yet. Stangs? Haven't raced one yet. Eclipses? Well, this one was funny. I was on my way home and this guy pulled right next to me. He stayed side-by-side with me for about 3 miles... instigating a race. I TRIED to ignore him by maintaining my speed at 70. So after about 3 miles... he revved on me... pulled forward about 2 car lengths... and slowed down again. By this time, I was getting irritated. I realized he wouldn't leave me alone until I gave him the pleasure of handing him his ass. So the GTS took off again, I gave him a car's length, I dropped into 3rd... and as I was passing him up... I feathered the gas... looked at him and gave him a thumbs up... and floored it. After I pulled on him... I saw him slow down... I guess he was embarrassed. But yeah... since I got my car back, I've only race about 4 or 5 cars. I've been instigated on by Honda's and Mitsu's many times... by I usually ignore them. One thing I like about MOST domestic owners is that they don't pull stupid crap like this. I almost raced a Prelude SH last night (I was in a bad mood... relationship problems)... I was behind the Lude... and he was driving 65... so I went on the fast lane... and as I was passing him... he downshifted as if he wanted to race. So I downshifted and blew-off on him a couple times. After he heard my bov, he reduced his speed. I reduced mine as well and waited... by he went even slower... then to the slow lane... and exited. I just laughed and went on with my merry way. |

as for the a/c question, since there have only been 2 answers from st205 3s-gte swappers, I'll take the st185 swap a/c part. My swap is not totaly done yet, but Mike (qatar) had to do some extra wiring, and stuff. But the mechanical part, you would probably need a gt for it to work, otherwise the ST a/c prolly wont work. But i'll let everyone know about the a/c when the car is finally running

Thanks for all the info on the A/C stuff. There's no way in hell I'll have a car in Texas with no A/C, that's just miserable.
