ok i've been following as many of these swap threads as humanly possible and trying to make sense of it all...
my question is for a 3-sgte swap on a 96' st liftback celi... which car and gen. should i get the front clip from?..mr2 or celica car, gen., and chassis code next which tranny should i get? yet again car, gen. chassis, tranny code just plain and simple answer will do...all those other threads have made my head hurt like anything |

Well depends on your funds. I got a st185 because of lack of money at the time but I could still build it up like a st205
Celica GT4 3sgte would be your best bet for fitment purposes, I hear the MR2 is a pain i the ass to install even in a GT. As for tranny I got a 3sge tranny or you could grab a mr2 tranny with LSD. I'm not sure on how to make it a FWD tranny but search www.celica.net they have a post of making a mr2 tranny to FWD. Hope this helps you. |
