Okay, so I just recieved my DVD monitor today in the mail! smile.gif It's nice real nice! But one thing.....the instructions are in Japanese confused.gif ! So I was wondering if anyone ever installed one of these before. There are three wires that come out of the back, a black, red, and yellow. I figure that one is for power one is for ground, but what is the other one for?? confused.gif Any Ideas??

This is how pretty much every deck is, DVD decks have a few more wires but nothing too complicated.

Well for one showoff you can use the dvd monitor with a computer tucked in yer trunk with lets say a 120gb removable HD rack so you can play endless mp3's...

Hey I saved $110 by doing it this way, the instruction manual is in Japanese, and the only way to know how to do something is either by reading, doing it your self (trial and error), or asking. So chill out! tongue.gif

You got it working ok, or ?

Some monitors also require a "handbrake" line. Some places have laws against monitors that work when the parking brake is off smile.gif

yeah on the back of the Deck, the Red Wire comes on with the Ignition, and the Yellow is the constant. They just call them different never understood why. But the Yellow wire is on all the time to remember your presets, and clock.

Usually it Goes like this....

Red- Ignition
Yellow- Constant
Black-Ground
White- Left Speaker +
White-Black- Right Speaker -
Grey- Right Speaker +
Grey/Black- Right Speaker -
Green- Right Speaker +
Green/Black- Right Speaker -
Purple- Left Speaker +
Purple/Black - Left Speaker -
Yellow/Blue- Emergency Brake*
Brown- Reverse Lights**

*- If you dont connect this the DVD wont work, its for saftey so that if the brake isnt up it dosent play. if u dont care about saftey...ground that wire.

**- thats for if u got a camera connectted to it and you put it in reverse it will switch it to that camera

Any other Wires tell me wht they are ill tell you wht their for
