I just got an old school safc from a friend. i have a 99 gt (5sfe), does anyone have one? if you do what were the numbers that you tuned it to. (EX:+/- 30%). just want a ballpark of where to start.

i think its different for each car, thats why you have to get it tuned, its not something you can just set the number too.... but im not to knoledgeable about this stuff....

yeah I wouldn't try to ballpark a 1st gen SAFC because it lacks the knock monitor. you could potentially do some damage.

would you recommend a different afc. remember this was given to me by a friend, and really i have no knowledge on the different kinds and their adv-disadv

naw, it should be fine, but you'll want to tune it properly with a wideband o2 sensor when your all set with your mods.
