not really.ive just changed my water to air intercoller yo an fmic and theres no noticeable increase in lag

there is on mine. pretty noticeable. it's a pretty large intercooler though with 2.5" piping so that's bringing it down.

Chrobis where in San Jose are you again?  I need to race another swap celica to see how bad mine's really running, haha.  I'm doing about 10.5-11:1 air fuel ratio right now under boost so it's running pretty $hitty.

hey aba I actually just moved, I live by oakridge now, you said you live off of cottle right, so were pretty close... My car isnt running yet though, well running to its full capability.

edit: I am waiting for a map sensor, I think it will fix my problems.

Everyone doing the swap should get a 205 engine... they are harder to find, the wiring is harder, but there are less sensors and stuff to break... Like my problem may be my AFM, which the 205 dosnt have.

Man...2nd gen vs 3rd gen right in san jose. That woulda been good.... IF I hadn't been ****ing with the car this afternoon, boosted hard a few times in a row and then heard something pop, followed by a big cloud of smoke out the back.

Still runs, stills seems to boost, but it feels a big laggier.. Will do a compression test tomorrow morning to see if the block is fine. If I blew a ring, it's getting parted out. I spent $2k on a block rebuild already and this car is going in the trash if it's blown again. Especially considering I've been running it super rich so there's no need of this. I"m not even boosting past stock. Hopefully it's just the turbo.

Where are you at during the day? I work on Hamilton Ave from about 10 to 7-8 or so.
