well the easter bunny was nice to me and said i could get new sound stuff smile.gif but ne way i was wondering what would be good speakers for alot of bass and crankability w/o having to go to subs and preferablly something that wont break the bunnys bank and they have to fit in the stock holes too! and for just a mild headunit ( 4x45 i think) would you recomend new wiring too? thanks for any replies!

as for bass with out going to subs there isnt alot of speaker that can do it with out breaking the bank i have rockford components in front and alpine type r in the back holes and the stock front gave more bass but i am running subs , so you could get some good speaker that work for mids and highs , and maybe a bass tube or something even just a good little 8 but they only speakers that i know that give good clean bass were soem of the pioneer 4 ways 6x9 , but they wont work , shop around is the only thing , also dont go off of what people tell you unles you have to , hear the speakers first , alot of speakers are made to look better then the time made to made them sound good

if you want a little thump I suggest building some custom boxes for the rear panels (next to the rear seats) and throw some 8's in there... it'd be a nice inexpensive way for the thump you want....

if you go rockford all the way around you wil get a decent amount of bass....but ur high's will suffer. if we had 6x9 in the back you wouldnt need a sub...but we got 6 1/2...so get decent 6 1/2 like pioneers then get a small sub in the back...u need a sub for bass, no way around it

I've got R/Fs all around and the bass is decent but I'm going to add a couple of tens to round out the low tones. Haven't had any problems with the highs or the mids, for the time being their underpowered but when the tens come so will the amps. What ever you decide to get don't pay retail. Everything I have in my car I payed less than 800 for it. Look at my profile to see the list of audio equip. PM me and I'll point you in the right direction to find what you want for cheap. Later...
