Do St's have sway bars? What exactly does a sawy bar do? Is it the same thing as a strut bar?

Yes the St's have them. They are under the car as with strut bars are on the top of the struts in the engine bay and in the trunk on the rear strut towers. Sawy bars help keep the car more stable in turns from what I understand. Bryan |

You can just get a larger size. The larger they are, the less give= less body role.

OK!!! AAAAAAAAAH!
Strut BRACE and Sway BAR... not interchangeable. Strut brace = on top of the struts = Cusco, JSpeed, TRD all make them for our car, usually cars don't have these stock. Sway Bars = under the car = Suspension Techniques. cars have these stock, when you upgrade you take off your stock ones. -------------------- 1994 Lexus ES300

a strut brace can also be called a "strut tower BAR". ![]() the strut tower brace/bar holds the fenders together to keep flex in cornering to a minimum, therefore making the car more rigid, and making the car "tighter". for those of you who don't speak that language, it makes the car more stable in the corners. less roll, less "wishy washy". now, sway bars (aftermarket) are thicker in size, therefore do a better job of holding the suspension in place. (as they are attached to the strut)(not the SHOCK, but that's another discussion). anyway, it's SIMILAR to the strut brace, in that it holds everything together, in order to tighten the car up, and increase stability while cornering. and as charlie (NOT chuck) said, there are a few different strut braces (front and rear) available for our cars (check the parts database !!!! ), and suspension tech. makes the sway bars (front and rear, and check the database again!!!). thank you, drive through. -John- -------------------- |
