okay I am thinking about getting these rims for 2000 with tire.. otherwise my roomate is willin to give me his stock 03 tiburon GTV6 rims when he gets his new ones.
the ones I am thinking about buyin are 19x8.5 and the ones my roomate is thinkin about givin me are 17x7 (I think) there both kinda look alike but I like the Axis ones better but there 2000 for them which I have to spend but could use that cash elsewhere... let me know what you guys think I should do. here are the rims I am thinkin about buying and here are the rims my roomate is gonna give me Also need opinion on where to place my air fliters... right now I have them stickin out of where the high beams are supossed to be.. works REALLY GOOD but doesn't really look the greatest. I was thinkin about cutting a grill into my airdamn and rig up a system that would have two sets of pipes that out allow me to swich placement of the airfilters from behind the grill to the high beam location when I went to the track... but I think I have scratched that Idea. I have the invader style front air damn which as two small sideways V - shaped openings on the side of the main front opening ( where the turn signals go) I am thinkin about just placing them there and just leaving them there... which would mean that I wouldn't get as much air flow as when they are placed where the highs go but would look better... Newayz what should I do???? -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

a) 2000 for those wheels w/ tires is nuts. you can get much better looking wheels for half that. just gotta do some shopping. www.wheelmax.com and www.whalentire.com are too places to start.
b)as for the intake idea..get them outta the high beams, that's ghey. the best bet would be to put them in the smaller openings of the shogun front end, but how do you have room there w/ a FMIC? there really isn't a whole lot more you can do w/ the intake though, other than locating it in the wheelwell, up front, or just leaving it in the engine bay, and you could get a heatshield for it. but in conjunction w/ the heat shield, you could heat wrap all the piping in the engine bay to cut down on the heat in there, therefore um..greatly reducing the amount of heat produced. another idea would be to create a "ram air" type contraption by cutting into the hood. doing something as simple as a hood scoop, or vents...or going out and getting a TRD replica type hood that they make for the supra (i've been thinking about this for some time). um..but really that's all that i have... -John- -------------------- |

Those are really the only kinda rim that will work with my paint scheme that I am doing... I have to have a 5 spoke with cut outs in them..... newayz that is the best price I can find them for and I have been lookin at them for almost a year As for the intake there is room.. even with the Front mount.. but its tight! and I dont want to heat wrap ****.. that just doenst look clean to me.. plus if there infront of the radiator wall then I really dont need to worry about heat soak to the filters just he pipes... but I am planing on getting the GT4 hood which with my front airdamn will flow enuf cool air through the engine compartment to keep it cool... what just wonder if the Idea with placing the filters where the turn signals are would look aright -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

why can't you stick with your GTS rims for now? did they get stolen or something?
IMHO the 2k GTS rims look way better than the O3 Tiburon's |

no they didnt get stolen. I am going to be selling them within a month or so buy the way... want 400 or highest offer- thats with tires. very little tread wear and the rims are in REALLY good condition.. the reason that I dont want them nemore is that I NEED wider tires. the GTS ones are too skinny for me - that and there not exactly what I want to go with my paint job the tibby's rims or the Axis ones will fit my ideas for paint a little better -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

On your air inlet problem... Me and my buddy were gonna make two CF air scoops to put on each side of my smiley bumper. You know, like in the two corners of the mouth. connect them, and run the pipe to your filter. (I was gonna do it with my W-R Dragon)
