No... the ST182 uses a different version of the 3SGE (slightly less compression, TVIS, slightly less agressive cams, different intake ports... etc...) 160-170 hp if I remember correctly... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

ok with that info, would it help or do anything, if i were to swap the intake manifold, an tvis system from a 3s-gte, and possible cams from a 3s-gte. I know I should just tyr an get a 3s-gte, but im just looking for more power, not a ton, not to run quarter miles, really around 170-180 would be perfect, i mean, my buddie has the delsol vtec an thats almost a good enough of power for me, so i was just looking to do a little more with this engine, thanks alot for the info. The n/a 3SGE might actually have slightly more sgressive cams stock than a 3SGTE. As for TVIS... it doesn't make a huge difference. It's a system that increases intake velocity, which makes for better low-end response. It has little to do with overall and top-end power. Swapping stock manifolds and stock cams won't do anything drastic. If you want more power from a 3SGE... get larger duration/lift cams then tune the car. That's how n/a cars are tuned for more power. Bigger cams will increase the engine's overall performance. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

Cams for the 3SGE and the 3SGTE are the same... so basically HKS, Toda, Webcams, Crower, various others all make cams that will work on the engine. The only 3SGE that will be different is the BEAMS version... The 3rd and 4th gen 3SGTEs might be different also... but I'm not sure exactly. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl...
