So yeah how about it? I mean, I've been kicking the idea around of using a silvertop in an AE101 for a while now, but I'm not going to bother if I can't get into the 15s with a stock silvertop. Have you been to the track yet?

More than likely I will end up turbocharging a 7AFE, eventually working towards GZE pistons when boost gets high and later on a 20v head (muahhahaha) but I'm still curious what the silvertop will do in case I do a N/A build instead (or in addition to! HAHA)

So I would like to see some 1/4 mile times of any of you guys running either a 20V 4AGE or a turbo 7AFE. Along with your 1/4 mile time please post your engine, major mods, boost, and which pistons you are using (if turboed).

Thanks a lot my bros!

I've seen several AE86's run mid 15's with stock Silvertops... also note: the Ae86 weighs a little over 2000 pounds...

there's talk that the 20V head doesn't actually flow all that much more than a 16V head...... the 7a-fe is surprisingly one of the better intake/head setups for flow (for toyota's smaller motors)

I didn't go to the track because I thought it was at night, and during the day it was threatening to rain all day, so I was at home working on my bumper in my garage. I'll hopefully be able to go soon. smile.gif

That's only cause they come just about as tuned as you can get n/a from the factory... ;]

Honestly now... if you want to swap in a motor to run the 1/4 mile... an n/a 4AG isn't gonna do what you want. You're better off going turbo, or swapping in some other engine.
