Security System, factorty system... Options

When I bought my car from a Nissan dealership they didn't have the remote for the locks and alarm system from the original owner. Does anyone know where to get the replacement remote for the factory optional alarm system? 97 Celica.....

just buy a new alarm they arent that expensive...youd probably spend that muh anyways tring to get a new remote from toyota

Mine came with a factory alarm that I found out the hard way about 1 1/2 years after I bought the car. I was instaling my aftermarket fog lights at the time. I removed the wires from my battery and when I went to put them back on, the little bull horn in the back of my engine compartment practically blew my ear drums out. It seemed like I spent forever to get it to stop. I first disconnected the ground to the horn to get that to stop. I finally had to remove the panels beneath the steering wheel to ultimately unplug the system..

I just need the little clicker and to get it reprogrammed, my Celica came with the factory setup which seems to be a pretty nice setup so I want to just use that. There's a Toyota security stickers on my windows and a lil square type thing with a red light attached by my right leg under the wheel in the footwell so i know it has a sensor. I just need that little bastard remote!

Go to your nearest Toyota dealer and ask them...they will tell you if they can reprogram it or not. If it still works just with the remote about $50. If they have to reprogram it bout $80. Thats how i did it.
