HOW about using A WATER RESISTANT MARKER? Its a marker with alcohol. you could paint it easy and it will glow through it just like through the paint? I used it in few places before, and got really good results... I would give this a try too, but my AC control unit is redone already... smile.gif

Is a Sharpie considered a water resistant marker?

Also, just to update you guys on mine, I took it out of the car again last night and then painted the fan speed adjustment portion of it. I then took out the buttons and took paint thinner to the light reflectors to remove a lot of the paint, and then I repainted them with a lighter coat on each one. My new bulbs for the unit come in to my Toyota dealer today, so I'll pick those up and install the unit back into the car tonight, and post the results on here. smile.gif

Well, i dont know about the brand, but just get the Marker that is designed to write on the galss, or metal surfaces. Just ask that they would be water resistand (not - water based) And it will suit you.

To provide an update on my situation, I just got everything finished and installed back into the car, and with the new bulbs, everything looks great. smile.gif

Unfortunately, the bulb inside my rear window defroster switch is out too, and my Toyota dealer can't figure out how to order just the bulb. rolleyes.gif

Also, I got rubbing alcohol on the buttons, and it discolored the black part of the buttons bigtime. frown.gif
