This is for those who have bought a kit through an action or anywhere. Did you get what you wanted, was it really cheap, what manufacturer should I stay away from. Are there kits made of more than 7 layers of fiberglass. What manufacturer makes them whith 7 layers, what manufacturer doesn't.

99% of ebay kits are knockoff crap. once and a while you will find a private party selling a kit b/c they didnt have enough money to install it or it wasnt what they thought it would be or they crashed their car and the part is fine... make sure they can guarantee its made by ViS or erebuni or another like company before commiting to alot of the ebay trash...

So you're saying if I can make sure it's a Vis kit, it's Ok to buy but if it's made by someone other than vis, erebuni or vielside then they are 99% monkey cr#p.

Knock off or not (Mine was one ) but I bought the Zephyr lip kit off ebay for 400 (7 layered). It came with only one defect easily fixed. Which was way better than I had expected, it even had a perfect fit. Maybe I got lucky but thats a chance I was willing to take. It'll be different for everyone else. Next week I'll have pics of it on and painted.

basically im saying youre going to have a 50/50 chance that what you get will fit, or if it will be utter crap... 50/50 for 400-500 bucks isnt really worth it IMO, esp when in march ray will be able to sell the invader kit for around 550 and its direct from ViS racing.

i bought a kit from a manufacturer on ebay and you will never believe this. it was a genuine veilside. it had raised lettering in the fiberglass that had the veilside emblem and name. i called the guy who got it from the manufacturer and asked him. he said that the manufacturer will sometimes buy a companys kit to make a new mold. sometimes they will ship those kits out to buyers. i was lucky and got a genuine veilside kit. it was the best fitting kit i had ever seen. no bondo, no new fiberglass, no new nothing. i just stuck it on and bolted it up. it was really thick too. i say ebay is good for a kit in my own opinion. that could be because i have only had good experiences with them though.
