I have just received my Greddy Exhaust system.
I bought it as the Greddy SP for the 94-99 Celica GT. Thing is it does not look anything like the pictures I've seen. That is, the cat-conv is cyclindrical and the back box is NOT chrome only the tip is. Infact it looks more like the TRD exhaust system for the same model. Sorry can't post pics, but to give you an idea, go to http://www.gtn.ch/ and then select on the left column Toyota - Celica T20 Any thoughts/ideas/pics? |

yeah, i know what you mean. I saw that kind of looking one on another website. Does yours look umm..like the muffler then a small tube then the tip? On the back of 'super street' magazine this month they show the sp greddy exhaust. Don't know if that helped or not

The exhuast is coated in the black stuff which keeps it rust free. I think there was another forum post about the Greddy exhaust for the GTs and I believe that someone said you scrape it off and get chrome. I'm not positive so don't go doing it. Look around for that thread though. It was actually entitled something like "greddy SP Exhuast.

yea the only beef i have with the thing is the tip rusts too easily, you can just take some paint thinner and get the black stuff off, looks good w/o it.
im getting mine redipped and ceramic coated this spring... lets see rust get me now -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... Ten Speed, of God's Blood & Burial |

Well, the last time I looked (it's a bit cold here -10, especially in the garage) mine is not coated at all - bare metal apart from the chrome tip.
Not sure about the muffler, small tube then the tip. I'll have to put on my thermals and go and have another look. BTW: I'm in France so I can get 'super street' magazine. Before putting it on, I'm going to get some black or silver special high temparature exhaust paint and cover the whole damn thing to ensure it don't rust. |

I've only had mine for a couple of months now. No problems yet with rusting. My tip did not come with black covering on it. I've also seen the picts with the black covering. What I'm thinking is that those pictures are old. They might have recently changed the style of the muffler and haven't updated alot of the pictures that they have around.

My Greddy Catback exhaust is pictured in my profile. It doesn't look like the picture I saw which was an oval tip but mine is round and I like it more than the exhaust they had pictured so I don't care. The only problem is that there is no hole for the O2 sensor and must be put in the exhaust customly! Maybe the GT has a different placement for the O2 sensor which is what the exhaust is built for. It bolts up to an ST without any problems cept that custom O2 sensor install. Check the pictures and tell me if you guys like the look of it...www.redlineautosport.com has it for $354 and it showed up at my house for $399 cause the shipping from Cali. Still its a good deal, check it out if your looking for a good exhaust and great price.

THAT'S IT!!!
That is exactly the same one I have. I got mine for $370 + shipping and import duty. BTW, doesn't the lower 02 sensor go in the downpipe of the header unit? |

To be realistic I expect maybe that I got 5-8 hp of gain but the exhaust sounds great so I'm happy. It pulls better from 3500 on up and seems a bit smoother in overall acceleration. Eventually with more upgrades the exhaust will pay off... if anyone wants to get a cat-back system I highly recomend this system.

If you're talking about the celi in my avitar.
Then its the Celica T20 2.0L GT (94-96) with an Erebuni 404 kit done by Frey in Switzerland. (http://www.garage-frey.ch/). Mine ST will look like that one day. |
