I am going to buy an ST205 for my ST in a few weeks. I am looking to get it from Jspecauto.com. Has anyone bought an engine from them? Were you satisfied? What other sites would you guys suggest me looking at to buy a complete engine or front clip?

Who is doing your swap in Illinois??
Ebay has pretty good ST205 clips usually and jarco inc is really good place to get clips.

What transmission are you going to use for the 205 swap?

Well if you did a search or even looked at the engine swap sticky you would have answers for all of your questions you have posted.

Next time you want to post a lot at once try to do a search first.

I live in aurora.. buddy of mine purchased his turbo'd jspec RX-7 motor from those people. Not bad, but he didn't score a harness with it. He was happy with them and recommended them to me for a 3s. I can't say they haven't screwed anyone over but he did get the engine and it looks great.

The ST205 sells for $2K. It supposedly comes with everything. I'm getting ready to buy from them, but I need to make sure they're a credible website. Thanks alot.

Jabberwock- I did try to do a search on this, however, I wasn't able to find anything on JspecAuto on a search. I'm either going to do the swap myself with a buddy, or pay a guy my dad referred me to. What transmission do you think I should use for the motor. If I go with the 3S-GTE FWD, I am told I need new axles. If I use the 5S-FE tranny, I am told to rebuild it to make it srong enough to hold the power. Whats your opinion?

I'm not, I'll buy a FWD tranny from a GT or MR2 to use and sell the AWD tranny to anyone willing to buy it on the forum.

There is no 3SGTE FWD Yota..... 3SGTE FWD tranny would be great but there isn't any....

The 3SGTE had the AWD tranny and MR2 tranny.

MR2 tranny is rear wheel drive hence the M for middle and R for rear of the MR.

sure can this is what i Did...how ever i did have a drive shaft company make me some custom drive shafts...
And I had to source a 91 V6 camry actuator for the gear box. I hear its easier to go witht the V6 solara trans, probally an easier find.

Thats what I meant by the FWD tranny for a 3S-GTE. I mean use the MR2 tranny. Isn't the MR2 technically a FWD tranny because the power wheels are directly under the transmission?

Its an MR tranny....tecnically

A NSX tranny wouldn't be considered a FWD tranny....

the MR2 transmission is a transaxle (meaning that both the transmission and differential [sp?] are both in one housing) and that is why you can use it for a fwd setup, and every FWD i have seen uses a transaxle.
