Hey,
This weekend finally i had time (and my friend too) to work on my custom turbo Header. We started like 11.30 am, and both thought that this job will be easy... Yup, it wasnt... All thought about the design, everything that we where doing seemed wrong, and like spending WHOLE DAY just thinking how it has to be, BAM we finally worked somthing out. I wanted that piped of the header where as much equal as they could be. So, i hade to move my radiator in fron a bit, to have more place for my turbo. Anyway, pics say more that any word, so here ya go: -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

probably too late to mention..... seeing how you have the pipes routed... (but would still be a good idea because of turbo heat)....
i would say get an oil filter relocation kit & move it away from there.... will give you more room and the oil filter won't be around the turbo |

I already now that, cuz now the header is touching the filter, so it will be moved a bit down. next weekend i will try to finish my header, and let you kow all the details. -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

I dont' know if it was clear in the pics that I sent you, but all the 7a manifolds that I've seen angle the turbo slightly for clearance. My turbo flange is angled about 10-15deg relative to the engine. Looking pretty good so far.

I'v moved my radiator in front, to get more clearance, and now my turbo has enouth place (im still thinking about geting bit smaller radiator and moving it way in fron to get even more place, and to avoid heat). But still not sure. Im still thinking how to get the turbo flange on, cuz the space between the pipes is not that small...... And ya, my friend didnt used mask, cuz he could see anything with it So after welding he saw WHITE bunnies runing around -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

i would say get some longer lines & run it into the fender! when i relocate mine it'll be moved under my passenger side headlight... i seem to have room there (and close to the oil cooler) |

The longer the lines, the bigger posibility them to blow.. (thats what i think), and i dont have a need to move it to the fender, i need like 4 cm lower then it is now, and the clearance will be good. -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

just get some high pressure 100psi (or higher) lines.... there's more than just a clearance issue..... heating it up isn't gonna help... lol
