Metal coat hanger unwound and threaded carefully through,
Make a little hook at the end of the coat hanger wire,
Attach wire and gently pull through.
Hey Presto!

I USED A THICK ZIPTIE. oNCE I GOT IT IN, I TAPED THE WIRES I NEDDED TO IT AND PULLED THEM IN. YOUR SORT OF WANT TO MOVE THE RUBBER BOOT WITH YOUR HAND TO GIVE IT MORE OF A STRAIGHT SHAPE.

I just ran the wire outside of the boot.. When I put the rest of my system in this summer I will run the rest of the wires outside of it, and then wrap it and the existing boot in electrical tape.

Please heed my words as I found out this info the VERY HARD way.

Toyota, in all their anal-retentiveness to tidy thigs up, TAPED the ends of the boots. This means that unless you undo all that tape there is no way you are running wires from the door THROUGH the boot and into the car.

Here's what I did, and it takes a little effort but it allows you to do what you want: What you'll have to do is pull the boot out of each side - you might want to do one side at a time. With your door WIDE open, stick your hand in there by the hinge and work one end of the rubber boot out of it's hole. Once you have it out, you'll want to get in there with a razorblade and gently cut the electrical tape (or whatever they used) until you're able to remove all the tape. This might take some time and effort as you don't have much room to work with. Repeat this procedure for the other end of the boot. Once you have this accomplished, it's just a matter of pushing the boot back in the holes - remember, it actually seats into a slot on each side. After that's done just tape a piece of wire coat hanger to the end of your wire(s) and feed through.

Like I said, this will take some time but having the information I just gave you will make it SOOO much easier. Good luck!
