Sorry it took so long, but here's a sound clip of my Celica driving away, taken from outside the car. This sound doesn't do the car justice at all, but you get the idea. And in the clip, I shifted at 7,000 RPM for each shift.

That sounds good,deeper than I thought it would. But... I started out listening to the clip and it was loud and sounded like i was right by your car,I was thinking it would be that loud through the whole clip. By the end of the clip I had slowly moved my ears closer to my speakers and was saying"no..don't go away"....I can't wait to see some video of it!

All I hear is exhaust!!! ;P Sounds good Coomer... even though I personally don't like lound exhausts... that muffles the coolness of an engine IMO... The inside sounds a LOT better than the outside...

I wasn't really looking at my speedometer.  If you can figure out the 20V C52 tranny gear ratios, you can get a rough idea, as I took it all the way up to seven through the first three gears.

call me retarded but that sounds a LOT like the celi RA40 rally car in my opinion... sounds like the powerband dosent hit till 4000 rpms...

That would be correct. I don't get much power until 4,000 RPM, but once I'm at 4,000 RPM the car is pretty quick.
