I'm coming to a stop tonight at about 3am, with the radio off.. i'm hearing a GRINDING from the back of my car, right towards the end of the stop. it's a light grinding, you can't hear it with the radio on. I had this done about 2-3 days ago and I just noticed it.

They screwed this up bad. I just now checked the bill (I was in a rush, to get them done) and they apparently billed me to bleed an ABS system. That's great, if my ST had ABS.

I'm takin the bitch back tomorrow and getting my cash back. anyone else here had a bad experience with firestone?

Well, I took it to toyota, and here's what they told me :

The "aftermarket" parts they had put on my braking system were causing this grinding noise. It's gonna cost me $230 per axle to repair. Otherwise, the brakes are fine.. 75% all the way around.

Don't go to firestone, period. They didn't even have to look at my car, and they refunded my money. I just walked in there, told them whats up, and he's like "here ya go, $190 bucks."

I have bought tires from them and got alignments too and I have never had a problem with them.

I like the company, and the people are friendly too

Saying Firestone is bad is like saying the dealer is bad. It's all about which one. I've had some crappy service at Firestone, but the one here is fairly good(well, one of the ones here, the others aren't so great).
Same with my dealer, Capitol Toyota is excellent(good mechanics, great service people, and they even started giving me discounts after I had been going there a while).
Both my dealer and Firestone know me and my family by name(always asked how my dad/sister/mom/nephew are doing, no matter how long it's been), and have competent mechanics to boot. Only problem I had out of this Firestone is it takes them more than one try to do an alignment(lifetime alignment is a great thing), but I just have to bring it back and they'll do it again no questions asked.
As far as tires, I can wear through a good set of Potenzas in a couple months easy.

I'm sure not every firestone is bad, and they were very prompt to give me my money back. Almost makes you wonder why they just gave me the money for them. I could've been lying about the noise my brakes were making, and gotten a free $190 brake job.
