I bought factory used sideskirts and ordered all the hardware from my local dealer and found out yesterday that 9 out of the 16 clips you are supposed to use to put them on are on backorder. Can you still put them on with out all of the clips, like if i put 4 on one side and 3 on the other. Or do I need all 18 of them?

u should be able to just bolt it on from the underside and use some 3m exterior trim double side tape to hold it on.

do you mean those clips that actually screw into the side of the car? not the wheel wells right? if so I don't see it being a problem. I intend to remove mine and just use some double sided tape in their place, I don't really feel like drilling all along the side of my car.

go to a local automotive store.. you can by all kinda of clips and retainers there.. you should be able to find something that works fine...
as for the amount of em.. keep in mind that toyota overkills like no other car company... if it need 3 of something then toyota uses 12.. which is good but sometimes makes thing a pain I would make sure that you have at least two inside each wheel well.. other than that a little 3m down the center and you'll be good.. I used to just have 3m on my old sideskirts, no screws or nothing and it worked just fine for well over 6 months until I finally screwed em in. BTW StarGirl97 don't know if your new or not but havent noticed you before so WELCOME -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
