Hi,
First of all I tried a PM which didn't work hence this post.

I saw your trunk in your profile with the 2 amps and 2 sub-woofers set-up and noticed that you had created a "false" base/panel for mounting these in the trunk.
I would be very interested to know how you did this.
...and if you were to have a template for the base even better still.
I'm thinking of/looking at doing a similar thing but adding a perspex panel over the top to protect the system and keep the trunk functional.
Any info. would be appreciated.
Cheers

use your trunk carpet for a templete and make it a little bit bigger.. like a 1/4 inch more then mount it using any way you want to.. brackets or other pieces of wood etc... the carpet it or primmer it a buncha times and paint it then you can do you speakers over it.. I'm prolly not makin alot of sense here.. hit me up on AIM sometime @ XneverstopX and we can talk about it more if you want.

Just noticed this post,
Sorry
All i did was use the floor carpeting and just like the other guys said "make it a little bigger" that way you can always cut more off to get it to fit nice and tight.
everything is all wood and carpet in my setup. you will not be able to do one big flat panel though cause you wont be able to get it into the trunk!!!
i had to make mine out of 3 parts and carpet hides the cracks where it is put together.

.

that's not partiucarly true. the bottom part of our hatch(where the carpet lays) is actualy much larger than the top. we have a lip on the top so it makes it smaller than the bottom. so as you DG said, you will have to make it more than one piece and then carpet over it
