i knwo this has probably been ask tons of times, but can you do the 7afe to the 3sgte without changin motor mounts and replcing your axles? i heard this has to be done, and how much extra would that cost. im jsut about to have enough for the motor and my friends and i are going to put it in, so i would like to know this before hand.

yes it must be changed... you need 5sfe or camry/solara tranny and axels.
if you use 5sfe parts do not redline and dump the clutch.
you might snap the axels. 3s gte has crazy power.
use the 5s axels until you can get reinforced 5s axels.

Here is a breakdown of the big parts for the project. This by now strech of the imagination covers the entire project but is for ballparking your cost.

on each listing the 1st prices indecate swapping to a ST, and the 2nd indicate GT the parts with an X infront of them indecate option but a good idea. the ones with the ! infront indecate that it depends what kind of shape your clip/engine comes in.
(list was compiled by mike, and the info was copied from his topshelfracing project celica site)

these are the essentials for a swap to get it up and running, takes a lil more than this to make it run efficiently and w/o running into problems down the road. supposedly you can use a SW20 trans instead of the GT trans you just need to flipflop where the shift cables are. this would make sense to be the more safe of the paths to take considering the SW20 has the 3sgte in the 1st place...
