Hey everyone I was readin Turbo Mag and i saw electric supercahrger thing. Well it souned cool so i kept readin.. but I figured with our celi it wouldn't matter.... But the whole point of it is is it's for the tuners that get no love and it's completely universal. YES!! this means it goes on the st's and the gt's it says dyno at atleast 75 hp gain and it's 2grand. You can check it out at BOOSTHEAD.COM and write your response to what ya think. I'd love for someone to buy it and find out first hand... If your game post your findings.
Dustin

hmmm. 2 grand for a supercharger that boosts for a maximum of 15 seconds. its an admirable effort but I don't see it becoming big. people like nitrous because its upfront cost is low, this costs almost as much as a turbo kit for the duration of a nitrous shot.

Wouldn't say it's crap.. it's a cool idea and has been built well. Would never get one tho smile.gif

I love this quote:

"Most NO2 users go through at least 1 bottle/week"

Who do you know with nitrous that goes through a bottle a week?

actually this isnt crap. when i built my turbo manifold i bought an engine flange from jeff, the owner. he used to be big in the turbo seen but i remember him telling me something about this that he had been working on. he is a guy that knows what hes doing, and if he says that it will work, believe me, it will.

I posted about this about 3 weeks ago in off topic. But if you notice he blew the motor on the car he was using as a test run, It works but you'd be spending about the same on a turbo set up with more room to move up in the hp range if you wanted, instead of the 15psi max unless you wanna put bigger motors and 75 more pounds of batteries in the car.

actally it is crap, simply because of the fact YOU HAVE TO CHARGE IT UP that means you wont have the power all the time when u want it as its only good for short bursts. A turbo kit is far superior

You did a 100 and your motor held up fine? I'm trying to ask nitrous user to see if i can run 75 safely

that elect supercharger sounds good, but the price is too much. if you add $1500 you can get a 3sgte swap with FMIC+pipeing and alot of mods!

Wow thats awesome, it says at 5 psi it ran to 177hp and at 8psi 208. Wow Im installing a turbo kit that can push upwards of 20+ psi think about all that I will have with lol the same money you will be using on this piece and with less weight(no extra car batteries)
My Verdict: CRAP!!!! nice try though Thomas Knight wherever you may be

Although it is good to know that with 5psi I could be as high as 170hp. and that was just the electrics, I will have bigger fuel pump bigger injectors, a supra fmic blow off valve and all that good stuff

Maybe if the electric supercharger put us at like 300hp at like 5psi I might consider it, but I think we all have better luck with good old fashion engine swaps and turbo kits.
